Joint former is glued onto the concrete face before casting the next section. Once removed, it leaves a neat, even groove ready for joint sealing.
• Ensure concrete surface is clean and free of dust
• Apply glue in vertical strips (±100mm wide, 25mm from top)
• Allow glue to set as per manufacturer’s instructions
• Fix joint former onto prepared surface
• Cast next concrete section, ensuring no concrete seeps behind the joint former
• Remove tear-off strip before applying sealant to create a uniform groove
Not suitable for water-retaining structures where water head exceeds 3 metres.
